Jewelry is the time honored way in which we define ourselves, a way we make ourselves distinctive, attractive, unique. We take it for granted, but jewelry is an elemental way of expressing ourselves. After all, mankind has been making jewelry for 100,000 years!

I can relate to those early jewelry artisans - sometimes I just want to reach out and hug my workbench and beads. It's an occupational hazard to love stones and metal so much, but can you really trust the thin baker? How about a tense massage therapist? I live, breath and eat jewelry and it shows!

What Really Counts

I have always admired people who have reinvented themselves, taken a leap of faith and gained success doing things just a little off the beaten path - the lawyer who opens a bakery, the carpenter who discovers his true talent making violins. Choosing balance, living a more creative life, starting this business is my way of taking that same leap.
